Victorian Cycling Suit

This was my senior project for my undergraduate school. I wanted to make something more than a pretty dress, and something to improve my technical skills. Choosing a Victorian cycling suit that had historical significances gave me more to research, as well as a chance to practice my tailoring. I started with flat patterning a basic body block top, and then altered that pattern as needed to get the desired fit. After getting the base of the jacket, I patterned details such as the collar and pocket straps by draping. The jackets pocket are all functionable. The suit is made from wool, polyester lining, and wood buttons.
